Founder & CEO
Self Care visionary, author, entrepreneur, pharmacist, medicines reclassification and marketing commercialisation specialist. Anna is passionate about widening access to medicines and is building Maxwellia to make it happen.
Head of Innovation
Alex is passionate about Self Care. She is responsible for picking the winners and bringing our ideas to life to deliver useful and better brands that consumers want to buy. Alex is known for pushing boundaries and rolling up her sleeves to get the job done.
Jack is our financial wizard. His head for figures has brought him success in fast-growing entrepreneurial environments across a diverse range of sectors. Coming from the pharmacy finance team at Sainsbury’s, Jack was instrumental in both the growth of the business and its subsequent sale to Lloyds Pharmacy. Design and implementation of high growth strategies are his ‘raison d’etre’, not to mention a highly developed skill for business funding.
Head of Sales
Tim is charged with forging the long lasting customer relationships and strategic partnerships that will establish Maxwellia as the leading innovator in self-care. He is our champion of widening access to medicines and building a broader role for the pharmacist. He will go where none have gone before, creating step change in realising Maxwellia’s purpose to help more people with better products and easy access from the pharmacy when they need them.
Head of Marketing
Lindsay is a brand builder in both Consumer Goods and Pharmacy sectors who is in the driving seat for our game changing product launches. With a breadth of experience in different categories, Lindsay provides the va va voom for the commercialisation and marketing of our audaciously innovative next generation pharmacy only brands. Lindsay brings marketing expertise from roles within J&J McNeil and Boehringer Ingelheim, as well as Britvic Soft Drinks.
Head of Quality and Regulatory Affairs
With a background in pharmacy and a proven track record, Paresh brings more than a decade of experience in Regulatory Affairs and Quality Management to keep Maxwellia firmly on the straight and narrow. His experience, gained whilst working for pharmaceutical and medical companies across global markets, helps maximise the implementation of new products as they come to fruition.
Dr Merle Beal
Merle has a PhD in pharmacy and is our regulatory guru. She provides top strategic regulatory advice for our switch operations and has a breadth of global experience in the reclassification of medicines for Self Care. If there is a way then Merle will find it.
Dr Stephen Mann
Medical and Scientific Lead
Steve is a medic and Self Care innovator he’s our ideas guy. He has been closely involved on a wide range of switches across many therapeutic areas including gastrointestinal, infectious diseases, cardiovascular, urology, neuroscience and dermatology.
Peter is an experienced pharma executive and chair of the British Generics Manufacturers Association. He has considerable M&A and in-licencing experience. Peter is our ‘fixer’, supporting our business development and finding solutions to complex problems.
Dr Andy Round
Dr Andy Round has a PhD in Biochemistry from University of Leeds, is an accomplished scientist as well as an experienced investor. Andy has invested across all stages of business from early stage to more mature companies and across different sectors but with a specialism in Healthcare. As well as being an investor Andy has worked as a consultant in the US and Japan advising companies on their licensing strategies as well being a founder member of a UK based Biotech in the field of encapsulation.
A former marketing director of Pepsi, brand strategy consultant to Mars and Scotts Miracle Gro, and author of Attractive Thinking. Chris has worked with Anna and the team from the very earliest days at Maxwellia to develop insights about what matters to customers and translate these into brands and products that consumers will love. Chris acts as a strategic advisor to support the team with customer insight, brand positioning and marketing communications.
